The Island
Lanzarote is the easternmost of the Canary Islands, sitting just 140 kilometres off the African coast. A UNESCO Biosphere Reserve since 1993, the island is defined by contrasts: black volcanic rock meeting turquoise Atlantic, whitewashed villages against a dramatic desert landscape, and an artistic heritage unlike anywhere else in Spain.

Climate
Lanzarote enjoys a year-round mild climate often described as an 'eternal spring'. Average temperatures range from 18°C in winter to 26°C in summer. The trade winds from the northeast keep the island pleasantly cool, making it a comfortable destination even in the height of summer.
Getting Here
Lanzarote Airport (ACE) is served by direct flights from most major European cities. The flight from the UK takes approximately four hours; from Germany, around four and a half hours. From the airport, Gueldera Apartments is just 10 minutes by taxi.
